EAST COUNTY ABWA MINUTES
July 5, 2007

After the Pledge of Allegiance, our meeting began with a round of introductions. We then reviewed the minutes from our last meeting and they were approved. Susan gave the Treasurer's report and noted we now have $345.67, however we have a $50 fee to pay to ABWA as well as the fee for our newsletter, which has not been deducted from this total yet. The following items were then discussed:

Stephanie and Julie worked very hard on our newsletter and it was sent out to over 500 people. By doing so we were successful in generating new contacts, and some of our members have even gotten some business from it!
Many responses to our e-newsletter noted that they would not be able to attend due to the time our meetings are held. We agreed to revisit the scheduling of our meetings in the future should this become an issue.
Our first board meeting was held last month and the board approved the advertising on our e-newsletter. The fee will be $5 per month or $50 per year.
The board also agreed to join the Inland Valley Counsel. The next meeting will on July 21st in Menifee. Please let Jackie know if you are interested in attending.

We are still working on a tri-fold for advertising our chapter.

Debbie agreed to bring in her gavel for the president’s use at our meetings.

Our member presentation was given by Debbie Wise of Anything Goes Promotions. She had some excellent products and ideas!

Our guest speaker, Erin Lewis, gave us an inspiration talk about achieving our dreams.

Our guest speaker for August will be Bob McClellan.
