EAST COUNTY ABWA MEETING MINUTES
November 1, 2007

The following topics were discussed:

1) Last month’s minutes were approved.

2) Susan reported that we now have $561.63 in our treasury.

3) At future meetings we will start having reports from the individuals involved in planning our upcoming fundraiser.
4) We are now offering Membership Incentives for anyone that brings in three new members they will receive a $25 gift card of their choice.

5) Jackie will be attending the Women In Business event at the Bonita Library on November 7. Anyone who would like their business cards/flyers displayed on our ABWA table should get their information to Jackie before the event. Anyone interested in volunteering to work at the ABWA table, please see Jackie.

6) We also approved giving Jackie up to $50 for the printing of East County Chapter ABWA flyers to hand out at the event. Jackie will email the text for the flyer to Stephanie West and Kris Jacobs. Stephanie will then prepare the content for the flyers and Julie Edwards will get the copies made.

7) Stephanie raised the issue of upgrading our membership with the Constant Contacts Program. Presently, the service we pay for ($15 a month) only allows us to include 5 images in our newsletter. By upgrading our account (by $10 per month) we will be able to add unlimited images, which will allow for more members to advertise. All members approved the upgrade of our account.

8) The next board meeting will be held on November 15th at 9:00 am at Bistro D’vine.

Our next chapter meeting is on December 6, 2007.

Thank you to our guest speaker, Lisa Saneda, from ACES. Lisa spoke to us about the valuable services the El Cajon Animal Shelter provides and how ACES is involved in the fundraising and support of the Animal Shelter.

Our Chapter will be partnering with ACES to raise money for both the El Cajon Animal Shelter and our scholarship recipient at our March 22, 2008 event.
