EAST COUNTY ABWA MEETING MINUTES

January 3, 2008
The following topics were discussed:

Old Business
1) We agreed to print the tri-fold brochures in color at a cost up to $150;
2) We are looking for volunteers to head the following committees:

Our newest member, Gail Hamilton, volunteered to head the membership committee. Thank you Gail!!!

3) Gail also graciously agreed to step in as a co-chair for our fundraiser;
4) Jackie discussed our membership incentive: Anyone who brings in three new members will receive a $25 gift card of their choice;
5) We agreed to pay for our Constant Contacts account six months in advance; Stephanie will email the group with guidelines for emailing her your business cards so that she can include them in the newsletter and/or advertisements;

New Business
1) We agreed to change our meeting day from the first Thursday of each month to the second Thursday of each month so that we no longer meet on the same day as the Escondido chapter;
2) We agreed to leave the time of our meetings the same;
3) Beginning next meeting, Jackie will hand our awards for perfect attendance;
4) We discussed the possibility of obtaining corporate sponsorships- in exchange for the sponsorship, the company (or individual) would be recognized on both our website and our newsletter; Jackie will check on the amounts that a sponsor would be required to contribute;
5) The Women’s Expo will be held in April at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Jackie will look into the cost of having an ABWA booth at the event, as well as the possibility of sharing the cost and volunteer time with the other local chapters;

Treasurer Report
We currently have $533.09 in our account, not including this meeting’s dues.

Our board meeting will be held on January 18, 2008 at 9:00 am at Bistro D’vine in Rancho San Diego. Anyone interested is invited to attend.

Our next meeting will be on February 14 (Happy Valentine’s Day!) . See you then!
